The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Higher Education Department has announced summer vacations for public and private colleges and universities across the province.
According to an official notification issued by the department, educational institutions located in the plain areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will observe summer holidays from June 15 to August 31, 2026.
For colleges and universities situated in the colder mountainous regions, summer vacations will be observed from July 1 to July 31, 2026.
The department clarified that academic activities related to examinations and ongoing four-year BS degree programmes will continue in accordance with the approved semester schedule.
Educational institutions have been directed to ensure the completion of academic requirements without disruption.
The notification further stated that all examinations scheduled during the vacation period will be conducted as planned, and students will be required to appear in exams according to the announced timetable.
The decision aims to provide relief to students and staff amid rising temperatures while ensuring that academic calendars and examination schedules remain unaffected.
