Islamabad Simplifies Birth, Marriage and Death Registration

Residents of Islamabad can now register births, marriages, deaths and divorces through the Pak ID mobile application without visiting Union Council offices, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced.

The facility has been launched in collaboration with NADRA and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI) and is available across all Union Councils in the Islamabad Capital Territory.

Under the new system, citizens can complete registrations online, make secure payments and receive digitally verified certificates through the Pak ID app.

The initiative is aimed at improving public service delivery and promoting digital governance by allowing residents to access essential civil registration services from their homes.

According to the CDA, the move will simplify the registration process, reduce paperwork and eliminate the need for in-person visits to government offices.
