LHC Announces Summer Break Schedule

The Lahore High Court (LHC) will begin its annual summer vacation on July 6, with court proceedings operating under a limited schedule until September 5.

According to the announced schedule, the Lahore High Court and all its regional benches will remain on summer recess for two months.

During this period, judges will hear only urgent matters, while routine cases and fresh applications of a non-urgent nature will not be entertained.

The court will continue hearing cases related to unlawful detention, bail, and petitions seeking the quashing of FIRs. It will also hear urgent matters involving stay orders or cases where parties face the risk of serious or irreparable harm.

During the summer vacation, court proceedings will be held from Monday to Thursday between 9:00 am and 1:30 pm. On Fridays, courts will function from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm.

The High Court has also clarified that miscellaneous applications seeking early hearings in pending cases will not be accepted during the vacation period.

The summer schedule aims to ensure that essential judicial work continues while allowing the court to manage its annual recess efficiently.
