Here’s How You Can Contact Punjab Food Authority About Food-Related Complaints

Punjab Food Authority has been pretty active in the past few years. The authority banned and fined many renowned restaurants and brands for substandard quality of food and drinks. However, there still are countless places that go unchecked and it will take some time before the situation can be completely controlled.

However, the general public can play its role in notifying the relevant authorities so they can keep a better check on these places. As citizens, it is our responsibility to report to the authorities whenever we come across any kind of malpractices being followed.

For the same purpose, Punjab Food Authority has built several platforms so the public can help in highlighting any such places that don’t meet quality food standards.

Platforms for Reporting to PFA

PFA has developed several tools to get feedback and complaints from public about eateries. Overall, there are three platforms through which you can report to PFA.

  • Website
  • Mobile Application
  • Helpline

The website to register complaints can be accessed here. However, the complaint page is non-functional at the moment but is expected to be up soon.

For now, the public can use PFA’s Facebook page to register their complaints.

Smartphone App

PFA’s mobile application can be downloaded for both Android and iOS. The app has a pretty simple interface and it is easy to register a complaint through the app, take a look at screenshots from the app.

Helpline

PFA, with the help of Punjab Information Technology Board, set up a toll-free helpline as well. The number can be accessed from various cities of Punjab and the authority plans to launch it across all cities of Punjab very soon. The number to register complaints is: 0800-02345.

The authority encourages the public to inform about;

  • complaints against low quality food manufacturers and
  • unhygienic condition of kitchens of hotels, bakeries, restaurants, sweet shops, and fast food outlets.

  • We are living in Eden city Air Avenue DHA Phase 8 Lahore. In the area there is one ‘TABHA’ back side of ROYAL MART. I think Food Authority is either ignorant or due to some powerful party no one has ever checked this place. All the restaurant is full of dirt, flies, mosquitos. Thw rate of simple bread is Rs.8 instead of Rs.6 whereas KHAMIRI ROTI AND NAAN rates are Rs.12 instead of Rs.10. Please your investigation team attention is required to relief people. Thanks and regards.
