Customs Seize 380 Grams of Gold from PIA Air Hostess At Islamabad Airport

The Customs department has confiscated 380 grams of gold from an air hostess working for Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).

She was intercepted by the Airport Security Force (ASF) at the New Islamabad Airport and was handed over to Customs officials. The air hostess, whose identity has not been revealed, was carrying the gold in her luggage.

It should be noted that you are allowed to carry jewelry in your personal baggage but not excessive amounts of it, like in this case.

She was allowed to board the UK-bound flight PK-791 later without the gold. It’s unclear if this was a case of smuggling or something else entirely. The authorities have not responded to questions related to further proceedings.
