How to Apply for International Driving License in Pakistan

An international driving license is essential if you often travel abroad, and it can be handy if you plan to do transport-related work in foreign countries. State-issued Driving License

If you have a valid driving license issued by the state, the process of acquiring an international one becomes quicker, otherwise, you must visit the local licensing center to apply for it.

Note that the international driving license can be acquired from the same center you got your state-issued driving license. Also, if you have just received your local driving license, you can immediately apply for an international one the next day.

Getting an International License in Islamabad

If a citizen of Islamabad needs an international driving permit, they should visit the Citizen Facilitation Centre in G-11/4. It takes seven days and costs Rs.1,050. An urgent international permit costs Rs. 2,050 and is ready in 24 hours.

Getting an International License in Punjab

First, book an appointment on the Rasta App. The appointment can be easily booked beforehand by the Punjab IT Board. The Rasta application can be downloaded on Apple and Android devices. Then, fill in the CNIC information and other details. After this, you can book an appointment at the licensing center that is nearest to you. You can even choose the time slots that suit you best. Also, select the purpose of the visit from the provided list.

The Rasta App can also be used for other convenient services like applying for a learner’s license and even dealing with matters related to the national driving license.

• One attested photocopy of your (valid) CNIC.

Getting an International License in Sindh

Applicants can visit https://dls.sindhpolice.gov.pk/home/app to apply for an international license. This website can be used to book an online appointment and even choose a center.

Citizens of Karachi should choose the Clifton or Nazimabad branches, and appointments for both these branches can be made online.

Getting an International License in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

• Attested copy of the CNIC.
