Like the Federal Government, Government of Punjab has also announced a relief package to cater to the lower socio-economic class of the society. After the Punjab cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar announced the Insaf Imdad package for daily wage workers and labourers.

Under the Insaf Imdad package, the government of Punjab will distribute Rs. 12,000 each month among daily wage workers and people from lower socio-economic class in Punjab during the lockdown. The Punjab government will provide the said relief package to more than 2.5 million marginalized residents of the province. Previously, the people Punjab were to receive 4000 PKR which has been changed to 12000 PKR by the Prime Minister on the request of the Chief Minister of Punjab.

Applying for Insaf Imdad Package

• The daily wagers and labourers can register themselves by sending their name, CNIC number to 8070.
• Write “Imdad” space “CNIC Number” space “your name” and send it to 8070.

(Note: The total amount has been changed to 12000 PKR instead of 4000 PKR. Now you will receive 12000 PKR after being approved.)

• For Insaf Imdad Package registration, you can also use the Insaf Imdad android app. Download it now from Play Store. Right now, the app is not available on other operating systems.

• You can visit Punjab Insaf Imdad official website by accessing this link (https://insafimdad.punjab.gov.pk/)
• After accessing the link, type your name, CNIC number and mobile number.
• Finally, click on “submit application”.

The registration process began on 1^st April. In order to ensure that deserving people are catered, all applications received for this programme will be confirmed through the data from the Ehsaas Programme, the Benazir Income Support Programme and power supply companies.
