While the month of Ramadan comes to an end, Muslims across Pakistan will be observing Eid ul-Fitr on Tuesday.

Eid ul-Fitr, celebrated at the end of Ramadan, is one of the most anticipated Islamic holidays and is observed by Muslims all across the world. Eid ul-Fitr means the “Festival of breaking fast” and is celebrated on the first three days of Shawwal, the 10th month of the Islamic calendar.

In Pakistan, Eid ul-fitr will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 3rd. The day usually starts off with a special Eid prayer at the mosque, known as Salat al-Eid, followed by a sermon from the Imam. Muslims celebrate this day by wearing new clothes, preparing delicacies, and doing charity. After a month of fasting and deep spiritual reflection, Muslims celebrate Eid-ul Fitr with friends and family and rejoice with food and gifts to commemorate the month’s successes.
