You’ve got to admit that this is one impactful video. We see how a happy partner goes from full of life to a battered mess.
The video starts with a seemingly normal relationship. We see a woman who is receiving flowers and how happy the affection showered on her makes her.
Once she commits to her partner, things to start to change. The abuse begins.
Initially, the woman brushes it off, not willing to accept that her ‘dotting partner’ has a problem.

In between, her partner is seen trying to make up for all the abuse with flowers and gifts.
Trying to make her marriage work, she covers up her bruises and wounds with make-up. Till eventually the scars and wounds are too big to cover-up.
In the end, the woman is left a mess, tear-stained with open wounds and scars. Her smile stolen for as long as she stays in this marriage.

The multiple faces of an abused woman, what you see is not what you see, look beneath the skin to see what is happening, domestic abuse is and always has been hidden in plain sight..

Wrong mate. Domestic violence is totally unacceptable, full stop. Women don't have to limit themselves because of your inadequacies.

How can these men physically abuse their wives/girlfriends. Their upbringing is the biggest problem.

A lot of the voices that spoke out against domestic violence, pointed out how part of the problem is society forcing women to stay in such marriages and suffer for the rest of their lives.
No women should tolerate domestic violence. Financial independence for women is key to ensure this.

I agree with you, and that is when the law needs to strong enough. The fear of law is a huge deterrent to crime. Men too can be at the receiving end, but these are exceptions.

Most brown societies, be they Arab or Asian, do not allow women to leave their marriage. It is frowned upon, and there’s plenty of victim shaming. This explains problematic statements like:
‘women need to know their limits‘.
Some people are in support of abuse:
We need to balance on both side.Domestic voilence shouldnt be.But women need to know her limitations.

This is exactly how they do the DRAMA!!!
So simple, they are DRAMA QUEENS… to the core…
They do nothing for any other person, if he does not act as they COMMAND, then they start this DRAMA… as u can see without anyone also, they can show malicious injuries… #DV DRAMA.

While most netizens were heartbroken by the video, there was a fair share of people who tried to downplay domestic abuse.
One day, we hope its not too much to hope that women are worthy of the respect they require.
