Captain America Star Chris Evans Ties The Knot With Girlfriend Alba Baptista

Marvel co-stars also attended this private event!

The Hollywood actor, best known for playing Captain America in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, tied the knot with Alba Baptista, a Luso-Brazilian actress, at their home in Massachusetts on Saturday.

According to an inside source, the event was shrouded in secrecy, with guests required to sign nondisclosure agreements (NDAs) and surrender their smartphones.

Evans, 42, and Baptista, 26, invited their closest family and friends to witness the “beautiful” ceremony. The guest list included some of the actor’s Marvel co-stars, including Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, and Jeremy Renner.

The “Avengers” actor and the Luso-Brazilian actress first sparked romance rumors in November 2022, when a source told that the duo had been dating for over a year. Just hours after the news broke, the couple was spotted holding hands during a stroll in Central Park.

While little is known about the low-key couple’s relationship, Evans has proudly flaunted his affection for Baptista online.

Christopher Robert Evans is an American actor. He began his career with roles in television series such as Opposite Sex in 2000. Following appearances in several teen films, he gained major popularity for his portrayal of the Marvel Comics character, the Human Torch, in the Fantastic Four series in 2005 and 2007.

He gained more recognition for playing Steve Rogers, aka Captain America, in several Marvel Cinematic Universe films, from Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) to Avengers: Endgame (2019).

Evans’ successful career as a longstanding Marvel star has warranted his own accolades, Baptista has an impressive backstory of her own. The actress, whose mother is a translator, speaks five languages: Portuguese, English, German, French and Spanish.

Baptista is known for her role in Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris and has won awards for her work, including the European Shooting Star Award at the Berlin Film Festival and an award for Best Actress at the Festival Ibérico de Ciné for her role in the short film Miami. She was also named IMDb’s Top 10 Breakout Stars of 2020.
