Kubra Khan Gets PTA and FIA to Remove All Defamatory Content Against Her

“Enough is enough”.

The Sindh High Court (SHC) has directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to block any and all scandalous or defamatory content on social media against actress Kubra Khan.

The order came after Kubra Khan filed a petition against the defamatory allegations made against her and three other actresses by YouTuber Adil Raja. The SHC counsel accepted the petition as Adil Raja’s action went against the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 (PECA). SHC directed PTA and FIA to follow up on the Kubra Khan petition and take immediate action against the YouTuber under the PECA law.

The court also directed FIA and PTA to block any such channels and accounts involved in spreading Adil Raja’s defamatory campaign. Kubra Khan shared the details of the court orders on her Instagram yesterday.

“The past four days have been so difficult for me and my family that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to explain it in words,” Kubra Khan wrote in the caption alongside her post. “I couldn’t wrap my head around as to why anyone would do this to me. Even after it was clarified that my name or initials were misinterpreted why was I still getting bullied so ferociously,” she noted.

Kubra added, “Even before I reacted, why were my pictures being used in such an inappropriate manner and then I realized because no one’s ever put a stop to it. Because we’re so used to being quiet. Until this story dies, another arises to do the same damage just because we didn’t speak up. But enough is enough”.

The Hum Kahan Kay Sachay Thay star stated that she’s exercising her “constitutional rights as a Pakistani and relying on our law to protect my dignity and this is me saying what I want to say for all the hard-working independent women out there who are insulted daily”.

Kubra Khan concluded with,

I’m not gonna stand here and say I stood up for every woman out there but I will say that I stood up so that from now on if a situation like this arises, every woman and man out there knows that standing up for yourself is your right! So now, I leave it in your hands, Our law implementers and God’s hands. I rest my case.

The showbiz fraternity lauded Kubra Khan for her resolve, including Osman Khalid Butt, Mirza Gohar Rasheed, Aima Baig, Usman Mukhtar, and Aisha Malik. Parizaad star Yumna Zaidi assured Kubra that she will always find her by her side.

It is to be noted, the whole fiasco began after former Pakistan Army Major-turned-YouTuber made outrageous allegations against some actresses and models with the initials, S.A, K.K, M.H, and M.K.

Netizens were quick to identify the four actresses by names, forcing them to respond to the baseless allegations made by the ex-army officer. While others expressed displeasure over the scandalous allegations, Kubra Khan called out Adil Raja, threatening to take legal action.

The Sinf-e-Aahan star isn’t the only one taking action, an ISI Punjab’s commanding head has also filed a case against the ex-army officer as well as Pakistan’s Information and Broadcast Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb.
