Ufone, one of the successful bidders of 3G spectrum, has launched FREE 3G services in Lahore for the consumers to get a first-hand feel of third generation mobile telephony and its wonders.
Ufone FREE 3G trial is available for both postpaid and prepaid customers and have a limited validity with unlimited data downloads.
This free 3G trial is likely to last till the commercial launch of Ufone 3G services in Pakistan.
The FREE 3G internet will offer unlimited access to Skype, Facebook, Twitter, video downloading websites and so on. This is a step towards the same as it would equip consumers and provide them first hands on experience of 3G and open to them a world of possibilities.

Yasir , in which area you specifically find 3G from telenor, we are not getting here at TENCH BHATTA , but my phone is able to find UFONE 3G , no telenor yet.
I used it in Front of Liaqat Bagh,And i experience Speed Upto 170KB/s ,with Zero Balance
But its Another Fact that the HSPA Sign Disappeared When Reached Commette Chowk Underpass ,Which means that Not all Towers are Yet Equipped with 3G Upgradation
Can you please post a screenshot by using speedtest app and choose Mb/s in settings :) that would be really helpful as i am on Warid and thinking to either port to Telenor or Mobilink :)
Hi, yasir bro thanks for the help, i have visited some places of Rawalpindi , and Islamabad, In Rawalpindi , i got almost 5Mb/s near saddar (haider road signal H+ ), superb speed , unfortunately i did not know any software to capture screen from my S4 mini, and in Islamabad (H8 , in-front of Shifa international , i got almost 4Mb speed H+ ) but with fluctuation, but in saddar it was smooth, and now i am getting H+ signal only on my roof top at home with H+ but speed only reach 250KB/s when downloading from UC browser
What about chaklala scheme 3. Is ufone 3G activated here?

try changing ur network setting to 3g only on wcdma only!what is happening is that the signal of edge is higher so it automatically shifts to it!!but if u change it to 3g only it will work with one signal also

From last 2 weeks I am using 3G on telenor network. In start the speeds of the internet were really awesome between 7mbps to 10 mbps . But from last two or three days, I am not getting speed more than 2mbps. But still better than the ufone speed.
Here is my H+ speeds in Telenor, Karachi, I am using it regularly since Auction day, Here’s another test I took of telenor HSDPA test, but forgot to take screenshot, but managed to get URL of it: http://www.speedtest.net/my-result/a/810903282
So Telenor free HSDPA internet is the best thing for me, grabbed this opportunity to download 3 blu-ray movies till now :D no other operator is giving 3g here except Telenor, Ufone is government oriented company, so no surprises they’ll prefer Punjab cities only, although Karachities are highest tax payers in the country…I know it’s a fact, ohh yeah..I use zong not telenor, telenor is using by my father. Take that “Sachi yaari JAIB pe bhaari” (TVC of ufone in response to Telenor’s “Sachi yaari sab pe bhaari”)
On telenor constant speed of 2mbps

WARNING !!! : If you enable WCDMA/GSM Auto connect mode, if you are not geting the 3G service your balance will be deducted. To avoid balance deduction in trial mode in android enable only WCDMA.
You can change this in Settings -> More Networks ->Mobile Networks -> Network Mode -> WCDMA Only.
My own 100 recharge lost due to this, also i hot HISAB SMS which described the internet charges.

Beaware when 3G signal lost you will be charged for using the internet it will not be FREE..

I never studied arts and I know difference in bits and bytes. My comment was based on assumption that normally speed is testing in bytes while data packets received in bits!
Anyhow, your speed was still too low if it was 3G but I am sure it was not and you may have been charged for it or may be poor signals!
