  • Kohat
  • Mardan
  • Muzaffargarh
  • Okara

  • Entire Rawalpindi-Lahore G.T. Road.

Free trial of 3G services will be offered to Telenor Pakistan’s customers in these areas for two weeks. The subscribers will be notified about the end of free 3G trial service via SMS and Telenor Pakistan’s official website. Under the free 3G trial offer, customers can enjoy 50 MBs of free data every day. Data services on 2G will be charged as usual.

On this occasion, Irfan Wahab Khan, Chief Marketing Officer, Telenor Pakistan said, “With over 35 million customers, Telenor Pakistan is geared to serve its customer in the next wave of data growth. The fourth phase of commercial rollout of 3G services across the country has been initiated to add 13 more cities to our 3G network. Our 3G footprint, comprising both urban and rural areas, is yet another testament of our ambition to bring ‘Internet for All’. We strongly believe that internet is something for the mass population of Pakistan, and not just the select few.”

He further said that Telenor Pakistan has seen a healthy uptake in 3G customers in recent months and as a new growth area 3G is going to spur the device and applications eco-system in Pakistan, bringing in growth and economic opportunities.

“With Facebook, Whatapp, Twitter, Line and online classified etc spurring the growth, the average data volume usage of 3G customers is more than double the average data volume of 2G users,” Irfan added.

  • Hello , Can anyone post recent speed test of Telenor3G as I am planning to shift to Telenor3G or ZONG3G

      • I still dont like Telenor3G but I was just thinking if they have improved or not.. but I am totally satisfied with Zong’s 3G as there coverage is good and the speed is awesome too :) just a thought to check if Telenor3G is good :P BTW i will wait a month more as I got a call from Warid that my 4G Sim will be delivered 3rd week of September ;) and will get a free trial of LTE ;)

      • Yes I did.. I thought it would improve but I can see the reviews of the users and they are worse than before ! so i will stick to Warid ;) and ZONG :D

    • i shifted from warid to telenor and believe me it was a very bad experience. Telenor has so many issues in Lahore. Dont receive a lot of sms (they get lost somewhere), call connection has problems, 3g is only available in selected areas, activation of bundles takes more than a month……

    • Sukkur, formerly Aror and Bakhar, is the third largest city of Sindh province, situated on the west bank of Indus River in Pakistan in Sukkur District.

      Coordinates: 27°41′N 68°52′E

In simple words, it is a city in Sindh, Pakistan.

  • Even in Lahore my home location do not have 3G of telenor and they are claiming 34 cities it’s all rubbish.

  • The bad part is most cellular companies doesn;t give carpet 3g service, 3g service is still very limited in early roll out cities. Telcos must need to expand their service fully in exisiting cities

    • I agree. I live in Rawalpindi, and from what I have seen, it is unavailable only in half of the city. Even the covered parts are struggling with Coverage issues at time (especially if you are not near the Tower).

  • here you go bro speed test results of telenor 3g on 12 sep and 16 sep near commercial market rawalpindi !!! telenor is best !!!

  • here you go bro speed test results of telenor 3g on 12 sep and 16 sep near commercial market rawalpindi !!! telenor is best !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Please also focus on providing 3G services in these given cities to enhance the coverage area. I’m in Gujranwala and here 3G is available in very selective places. Why company isn’t increasing coverage area?
Here I want to mention that I have tried 3G services of Mobilink, Ufone and Telenor. Speed wise, Telenor is best so far. Coverage area wise Ufone wins.
Mobilink has the advantage of free trial.

  • Telenor currently have very poor coverage in Karachi. I have been using Telenor since 2004, and when i advanced my package plan to 3G, em very much dissatisfied with the availability. Only Tariq Road and DHA has 3G services, rest of the Karachi still lying on EDGE (2.5G Network). For GOD sake Telenor if you don’t have to potential to cover the Giant City karachi, thinking of more cities would be worst…

  • I just switched to Mobilink and Telenor has come up with this super plan! :( Dear Mobilink, if you are reading this, please follow the same path of Telenor asap so that I don’t regret of switching my network.

    • grass is always green on the other side. I shifted to Telenor from Warid solely for 3g and am regretting it big time. Warid has much better service than Telenor and to add to it, Telenor doesnt have full coverage in lahore.

  • Please join zong 3g it has better coverage then telenor 3G. In short Telenor 3G is worst as compared to other operators at least in islamabad. I have already initiated port out request of my no from telenor. Telenor is more interested in spreading no of covered cities instead of improving its 3G service in existing cities!

  • Telenor logic: launch 3G in a city with no more than 30% coverage and add it to their list of covered cities.

Yesterday I was standing well within the 3G coverage area and guess what? Edge.

  • Pulse zong start tower in shangla but telenore is very slow warning in the tower don’t have internet in shangla belebaba
