At the end of last year, the previous GTP resulted in Zong offering successful candidates an opportunity for securing permanent employment. after undergoing a year of extensive training.
About Zong Graduate Trainee Program 2016
The opportunity is back again this year for all aspiring fresh graduates who are looking to start their professional life or polish their abilities and skills. By taking part in Zong’s GTP, candidates will have access to a well-developed training regimen, that includes job training, program monitoring and job rotations, all aimed at honing graduates into future leaders.
Unlike their previous GTP, this year’s program will last over a period of 1.5 years. Once again, after the culmination of the program, candidates of the GTP will have the opportunity to start their professional career, once they opt which Zong work department they want to be in. And just like last year, the top performing candidates will have the opportunity to become a permanent employee at Zong.
Eligibility Criteria for Zong Trainee Program
The selection process is intensive and Zong will be looking to acquire the best available talent. Willing graduates can either apply for this program through their university placement or can visit their website and complete an online form. The shortlisted candidates will be summoned for an online test. And finally, those candidates pass the test on merit, will be invited for an interview.
To be eligible, candidates have to meet the following requirements:
- Be a student graduating in 2016 (who have passed all semesters except thesis or dissertation, with a minimum of 2.7 CGPA or 70% marks. Those who have appeared in the last semester and are awaiting their results must have a minimum 3.0 CGPA)
- Candidates should have minimum 16 years of education with a Bachelors (4 year program) BCS, BEE, Bachelors of Telecom Engineering or any other relevant / equivalent degree.
- Possess a Master’s Degree (if they’re Business graduates)
- be under the age of 26 at the time of hiring.

Why is there an age requirement ? I believe that the age requirement should be removed for Master’s candidates as very few people are able to complete their MBA from reputable universities by the age of 26.
