Vivo, China’s Third Most Popular Brand, is Launching in Pakistan Next Week

Vivo, China’s third most popular smartphone brand, is launching in Pakistan on July 5th, 2017, we have checked with sources. It is ranked 5th globally with over 80 million sales in 2016.

While there’s no word on which models Vivo will introduce in local market, we can confirm you that they will launch at least four smartphones to commence operations with price points between Rs. 15,000 to Rs. 30,000.

We can also tell you that Vivo will make its V5s smartphone — that comes with 20-Megapixel Selfie Camera — available in Pakistan.

We have heard that V5s, that comes with 4GB Ram, 64 GB ROM, 20MP front camera, 13MP rear camera and Octa-Core 64bit processor, will be priced below or around 30K mark.

Considering OPPO’s success with selfie camera phones, Vivo is expecting to make an early impression with its V5s in Pakistan and then capitalize the position to market and introduce other budget and flagship devices among Pakistani consumers.

Just in case if you are wondering, Vivo started manufacturing smartphones in 2011. Before this the company specialized in feature phones and telephone handsets.

Other than China, Vivo operates in 10 overseas markets with four production bases spread across Asia Pacific.

Company said that its focus for smartphone devices is primarily design, camera experience and hi-fi sound at a price that’s affordable for masses. Not to mention, Vivo devices come with customized OS that they call Funtouch OS.

Early reports suggest that Vivo will launch in Pakistan through a soft launch, however, it is planning mega launch events down the line with more announcements during next 2-3 months.

  • Their flagship xplay6 is using outdated SD 820 SoC with price tag of around 40000 INR.

  • AMAZING !

Vivo is going to define a new standard in Luxury Phones !

they have GREAT phones ! every component is top notch inside their handsets !

Waiting to see the price , they do charge a premium but it’s probably deserved given the extremely fine quality handsets they offer !

  • Vivo just bought ipl rights for whopping 450 crore for period 2018-2022.

  • BK electronics owns OPPO, VIVO and OnePlus whereas oppo and vivo follow somewhat same business model of providing lower spec’d phones at higher prices and selling them by providing retailers higher margins and other target based perks, OnePlus focuses on making phones based on consumer opinion which they call their community and has a growing fan base(consumers). I think they should bring OnePlus officially to Pakistan due to its popularity world over and in Pakistan

  • What do OnePlus, Oppo, and Vivo have in common? Yes, they are all Chinese brands owned by BBK . I think they should had launched oneplus in Pakistan instead.
