A selected security group of the International Cricket Council made a visit to Gaddafi Stadium on Tuesday for analyzing security conditions and arrangements for World XI tour to Pakistan.
The ICC team reached Lahore yesterday to examine the security conditions for the upcoming series, called Independence Cup 2017, that is scheduled to be played on September 12, 13 and 15 at Gaddafi Stadium, which hosted the PSL final this year.
Officials from Pakistan Cricket Board are requested to provide guidelines regarding security issues for the World XI team.
The team will be headed by South Africa’s Faf du Plessis and also includes a lineup of 14 layers belonging to seven different countries.
Moreover, the tickets are being sold out very fast. General Stand and VVIP tickets, which costs Rs500 and Rs8000 respectively are already sold out online. However, Rs. 2500, Rs. 400 and Rs. 6000 tickets are still accessible on eticketing.pk.
It has been reported that tickets will shortly be available in physical outlets around the city.
The World XI team is reported to arrive in the city on September 11, that is the preceding day of the start of the series. Captain Faf du Plessis has been requested to carry out a press conference after arrival and a practice session has been scheduled for the team.
