Apart from the Mi Note 3 and Mi Mix 2 released this week, Xiaomi also unveiled a new power bank. The Mi Power 2C, like the Mi Power 2, has a 20,000 mAh battery capacity but costs less.
Phones usually last one or two days at max and for highly mobile people, running out of juice is a constant problem. This power bank has enough capacity to charge a regular phone 6-9 times.
It uses high-quality Li-Polymer batteries with a conversion rate of 93%. You get two charging ports and a power button on the side. Xiaomi Mi Power 2C has a rough surface which improves grip. This was an issue with previous gen power banks so we are glad it has been addressed.
As mentioned before, you get two ports to charge your devices. Quick Charge 3.0 is supported if one device is connected. If two are being charged, you get 5.1V/3.6A out of the ports, which is still pretty good.
Low-current mode for wireless headsets and fitness gadgets is supported. You just have to double tap the button to activate it.
It takes around 8 hours to charge the 20,000 mAh battery of the Mi 2C with a QuickCharge 3 adopter. Interestingly, the power bank can also charge some USB-C laptops.
Mi Power 2C is only available in white color. The power bank has already hit the market in China and can be bought for ¥129 in China which is around $20. Expect the prices to be higher when it comes to Pakistan.
