The “Knife attacks”, that began on September 25, were began with a woman from Gulistan-i-Jauhar and have now spread all the way to Gulshan-i-Iqbal and North Nazimabad, with the most recent one taking place in Karachi’s F.B Area.

Akin to the previous attacks, the girl was stabbed by a man on a motorbike. Irfan Ali Baloch, Central SSP, said that the 15-year-old girl was riding the motorbike with her brother when the stabber attacked her from behind before speeding away.

However, “the nature of the weapon used in the attack is not clear,” said the SSP.

Suspect Caught: False News

On Sunday, the city police claimed to have caught a prime suspect, called Waseem, who was allegedly involved in stabbing cases in Punjab as well. The suspect was caught in Sahiwal with the help of Punjab police officials.

This was followed by an earlier claim of police officials on October 05, where 15 suspects were arrested on Wednesday night and another key suspect on Thursday.

Despite claims from police officials on several occasions, in light of the recent news, the “real” killer is still on the move.

The number of attacks is increasing as 13 women have now become victim to attacks of similar nature in Gulistan-i-Jauhar and Gulshan-i-Iqbal alone.

While women of all ages are being targeted, the police officials claim to have further investigations underway.
