The Pakistani speedster — Hasan Ali — has managed to maintain the pole position in the International Cricket Council (ICC) rankings as the best ODI bowler.
Hasan secured the top ranking ahead of South Africa’s Imran Tahir and Jasprit Bumrah from India.
Other representatives from Pakistan in the top-50 bowlers list include Mohammad Hafeez and Mohammad Amir, who are ranked 23 and 25 respectively.
Neighboring country’s captain, Virat Kohli, finishes the calender year as the best batsman in limited over cricket ahead of AB de Villiers and David Warner.
Babar Azam has retained the 4th best batsman spot whereas Mohammad Hafeez (26), Azhar Ali (35) and Fakhar Zaman (46) are the other Pakistani batsman featuring in top-50 list.
Despite the controversy, Hafeez remains the best all-rounder in the world. Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan and Sri Lanka’s Angelo Matthews are ranked behind Hafeez.
Pakistani all-rounder Imad Wasim was ranked 14th.
