Huawei Mate 10 Lite is a Great Option for the Midrange Consumer

2017 was one of the best years ever for the smartphone industry. Several new trends took root in the industry this year, with bezelless screens, dual cameras and face detection to name a few.

Huawei unveiled its much anticipated Mate 10 series recently, complete with dual cameras, flagship design and tall 18:9 aspect ratio screens. This was in-line with most of the trends in 2017, however, there is more to what meets the eye with these smartphones.

Huawei Mate 10 Lite

The Mate 10 Lite in particular is interesting, as it featured several flagship level features at a remarkably lowe price of Rs. 29,999.

Huawei Mate 10 Lite features a large 5.9 inch, bezelless display squeezed into the size of a 5.5 inch smartphone. It is powered by Huawei’s homegrown octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor with 4 GB RAM, primed for multi-tasking on the fly.

One Of a Kind

Mate 10 Lite has dual cameras on both the front and the back, making it a unique smartphone that stands out among its peers.

But that’s not all, the camera setup on the front features a f/2.0 13MP lens designed for image rendering while the 1.75um 2MP lens captures depth of field information. Combined, they allow you to take beautiful portrait shots with even lighting.

Intelligent Selfie Flash and Color Rendering

This is just the tip of the iceberg, the soft flash on the front can automatically adjust its brightness depending on the lighting conditions. The selfie flash also has a stunning CRI of 80% (for the sake of comparison, sunlight has a CRI of 100%) one of the best in the industry.

The front cameras ensure colors are rendered more accurately and images are captured as if they are taken in natural sunlight. Skin-tones are more accurate and images are more vibrant.

Adjustable Bokeh-Effect

Moving on to the back of the phone, the 16+2 MP cameras specialize in creating professional grade bokeh effect in portrait mode. You can even snap a portrait and adjust the level of focus later on as much as you like.

There are several different bokeh effects, which you can pick and choose to create the perfect shot.

A picture is often said to be worth a thousand words, but what about a moving picture? Huawei Mate 10 Lite can capture two-second micro-videos of images, bringing your pictures to life.

With a saturated smartphone market, it’s often hard to find just the right phone that fits your needs. Huawei Mate 10 Lite checks every box in the mid-range category, with a gorgeous design, smooth day-to-day performance, dual cameras on the front and the back as well as a 2 day battery life with a 3,350 mAh unit.

All in all it offers a compelling option for anyone willing to buy the best mid-range smartphone available right now.

          • Actually Mate10 lite is quite good if you aren’t into heavy games and low light photography. Other then that, its extremely fast. I have both S6e and Mate10Lite, my M10Lite is faster in everyway.

            • If I’m paying 30k and I don’t play games on it and it can’t handle low light photography then it’s a totally useless phone , Huawei highlights it’s camera all the time, so called 4 cameras, if they sets it’s price between 15-17k than it’s a good option but 30k is too much for this idiotic thing

              • The camera ain’t that bad in low light (noise is there) but I won’t expect s8 like results from a 30k phone.
You get what you pay. I tried playing Asphalt, runs smoothly on medium and even high (depends on map) so performance is good. Camera is actually good too but only low light needs improvements.

I was planning to buy S8, then Note8 then Mate10 pro. But after deep analysis, onePlus 5t is the best for the price and performance ratio. I will wait for 29, if it doesn’t satisfied me, I’ll go for onePlus 5t

              • Your assumption is totally wrong about pricing. $150-170 for a phone with those specs isn’t possible.

Also benchmarks are not the standard for buying phones, these benchmarks doesn’t reflect real world usage.

    • You can’t compare Xiamo Mi 5X (25K) with this one. 5X is a brilliant phone with lots of high end features.

  • While I got Honor 8 lite for Rs. 15735, extremely satisfied for the price paid. I will be waiting for Redmi Note 5 or Redmi 5 plus before making jump.
