Aprilia is an Italian superbike manufacturer and has a diverse lineup of top-end motorbikes with premium features and powerful engines. The company is a subsidiary of Piaggio & C. SpA which is also parent to Vespa, Gilera, Derbi, Moto Guzzi, and Scarabeo. Piaggio products are distributed in Pakistan through its partner, Ravi Group, and just like the midrange bike manufacturer Derbi, the company has also launched Aprilia bikes in the country.
In Pakistan, there are several Aprilia bikes available, including Tuono V4 1100 RR, Tuono 125, Dorsoduro 900, and Shiver 900. These bikes come with the company’s official after-sale services and warranties.
Tuono is a superbike which promises insane acceleration and unmatched handling at high speeds. It also comes in a 125cc variant for learners with a smaller body but the same sporty design. Dorsoduro and Shiver have 900cc V-twin engines and Aprilia’s signature electronic management technology to control engine resources for smooth, efficient acceleration.

Tuono V4 1100 RR
Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 RR is a naked superbike which is meant to provide both race-track grade performance and practicality for normal usage thanks to its efficient fuel management, comfortable suspension, and advanced dynamic controls. It features a 175 hp engine and electronic controls to limit toxic emissions, the Tuono V4 promises the same superb acceleration while adhering to EURO 4 emission standards.
Exterior
The frame and design have were derived from Aprilia’s RSV4, a seven-time World champion, and has been made this way to provide the right balance of speed and handling. The company works to ensure optimized comfort and nimbleness for riders. The naked Tuono shares RSV4’s suspension, frame, and brakes.

The wheels are made up of a lightweight aluminum alloy to minimize gyroscopic hindrance, in order to improve handling. Most of the material finishes are stainless steel to provide both sturdiness and lightweight characteristic. Tuono’s massive front brakes feature a Brembo system with 330 mm dual discs with M50 calipers mounted on top and a single disc set up is used on the rear wheel. Both front and rear suspensions are hydraulically adjustable and support wheel travels of 120 mm and 130 mm respectively
Internal Specifications
Tuono V4 is powered by a 1077 cc longitudinal 65° V4 cylinder, with four valves per cylinder and liquid cooling. At 11,000 rpm, the engine can produce 175 hp power and 121 Nm torque at 9,000 rpm. Moreover, it has a built-in Ride-by-wire electronic control which changes engine resource usage and output based on ride conditions. This feature has been patented by Aprilia, it controls toxic emissions and also allows riders to switch between Track, Sport, and Race modes to switch between comfort and acceleration respectively.
Furthermore, it has APRC (Aprilia Performance Ride Control) traction management system for launch control, wheelie control, cruise control, traction control, and speed limiter. The system also lets users to manually configure these settings based on preference. It also comes with adjustable ABS and cornering ABS to improve braking while facing harsh corners.

Aprilia Tuono 125
The company has also launched a 125 cc version of the Tuono V4 1100RR, called Aprilia Tuono 125 for small engine enthusiasts, learners, and young riders.
This version has all the ride assist goodies seen in the high-end model and a similar design. Its 125 cc engine has liquid cooling, DOHC, and a Quick Shift gearbox. The body has been made of light aluminum to support the low-power engine and the shape has been carefully designed to boost ergonomics and rider comfort.

Price & Availability
Aprilia Tuono V4 1100RR and Tuono 125 are both available for purchase from authorized Aprilia dealers in Pakistan. For now, there’s only one dealer, Xtreme Motor Sports, and its located at Mcleod Road in Lahore.
Tuono V4 1100RR costs Rs. 22,50,000 and the lower-end Tuono 125 has a price tag of Rs. 6,25,000.
