Vivo is taking time out to launch a new mid-range smartphone called Z3. Unusually, for a phone of this type, you can get a more powerful variant if you want.
Other than the choice in the processor department, you get a phone with 90% display coverage on the front and a few gaming related features.
Design and Display
Other than the waterdrop notch and the large screen-to-body ratio, the phone will be available in Black, Blue, and Pink.
The display is a large 6.3″ 19:9 LCD panel, with FHD+ resolution. It comes with Vivo’s own Jovi AI assistant and a fingerprint sensor on the back.
Internals and Storage
Under the hood, you get the choice of either Snapdragon 660 or 710 processors, which are quite similar except for different clock rates and the latter having AI-related features. They come with either 4 or 6 GB RAM, and either 64 or 128 GB of storage.
In terms of gaming, you get Dual-Turbo engine acceleration, game keyboard and 4D game shock.
The back comes with a 16 MP main-camera, coupled with a 2 MP depth-focus sensor. It comes with AI supported modes and features, as well as bokeh effect.
The front camera also comes with a 12 MP lens, with support for IR-based face unlock.
Battery and Price
The battery capacity of the phone is set at 3315 mAh with support for fast-charging.
Pricing starts at $230 for the SD660 variant with 4 GB RAM, goes up to $275 for SD710 with 6 GB RAM, and $330 for the same phone with 128 GB storage,
