Remaining Fixtures: Who Will Secure Champions League Qualification in Premier League?

Manchester City and Liverpool have broken away in a race for the title, but which team will secure the Champions League qualification?

Chelsea’s hopes of qualification were dented on the weekend as a Salah-inspired performance saw the Blues suffer a 2-0 defeat at Anfield.

With Arsenal registering a narrow win over 10-man Watford on Monday, the contest will now go right down to the wire.

Here’s how the table currently looks like:

Position Club Matches Played Points
3. Tottenham 33 67
4. Arsenal 33 66
5. Chelsea 34 66
6. Manchester United 33 64

Arsenal, perhaps, has the easiest run of games till the end of the season whereas the remaining teams are all yet to face a top-6 team.

It is worth adding that all four teams are still alive in their respective European competitions, with Spurs and United battling in Champions League while Chelsea and Arsenal seek glory in Europa League.

Tottenham currently have a 1-0 aggregate advantage over English rivals Manchester City in the Champions League whereas Manchester United trail by the same scoreline against Barcelona.

Here’s how the remaining fixtures list looks like for each team:

Club Remaining Fixtures
Tottenham Manchester City Brighton Albion West Ham Bournemouth Everton
Arsenal Crystal Palace Wolves Leicester City Brighton Albion Burnley FC
Chelsea Burnley FC Manchester United Watford Leicester City
Manchester United Everton Manchester City Chelsea Huddersfield Cardiff City

Who do you think will secure the top four positions? Let us know in the comments section below.

  • Think it has to be Arsenal and United. Would have gone for Chelsea but they have tougher fixtures and their form isn’t particularly good either.

    • Arsenal cannot win away from home…and apart from them wearing a red shirt they are bland, boring and have no heart
