Google has announced the winners of Play Awards for this year with a number of new apps winning in their categories.
Every year, Google gives out awards to the best applications and games to encourage developers for their hard work and commitment to make a quality app. The agenda is to give new developers a vision of how to make quality applications.
Winners
The awards have a total of 9 categories with criteria mainly consisting of innovation, technical performance, strong design, and overall quality. The nominees were selected by various Google teams and were announced last month.
The winners have been featured on the Google Play Store and have also received a silver Play Trophy at the 6th May event.
At the awards, Google said,
We’re sharing the winners that rose to the top for providing the best experiences for fans, making an impact on their communities and raising the bar for quality content on Google Play.

Best Accessibility Experience
An application that innovatively enables device interaction for disability needs.
Winner: Envision AI by Envision Technologies BV
Best Social Impact
Applications or games that have a positive impact on the community.
Winner: Wisdo by Wisdo LTD.
Most Beautiful Game
Games that have unique visual effects with advanced graphics.
Winner: Shadowgun Legends by MADFINGER Games.
Best Living Room Experience
Applications that enable a good living room experience and help families come closer.
Winner: Neverthink by Neverthink
Most Inventive
Applications that have a new groundbreaking use case, similar to utilizing new technologies. Developing something that is not on the market.
Winner: Tick Tock by Other Tales Interactive
Standout Build for Billions Experience
Applications or games that have optimized performance.
Winner: Canva by Canva
Best Breakthrough App
Applications with overall excellent experience, engagement, and design.
Winner: Slowly by Slowly Communications Ltd.

A new game that provides an excellent experience, retention and strong growth.
