UAE Announces Six-Month Multiple-Entry Visa for Non-Residents

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is now offering a six-month, multiple-entry visa for non-residents seeking a long-term investment visa.

The facility, announced this week, allows non-UAE residents to transfer their existing visa into investor permit after fulfilling the required conditions.

The visa facility has been rolled out in three basic categories for investors, experts, and brilliant students who are eligible for the long term visa (from five to ten years), a statement from the Federal Authority for Identity and Citizenship said.

The authority said it has added three new services on its portal:

  1. A six-month, multiple-entry visa for investors to complete the procedures for residency,
  2. A six-month, multiple-entry visa for both entrepreneurs and outstanding students, to complete the procedures for residency,
  3. A six-month, single-entry visa to complete the residency procedures for talented individuals.

Interested people can submit their applications at the ICA portal.

The latest visa service has been welcomed by the people, and the Federal Authority has already received about 6,000 applications during the first week of its announcement.

Major General Saeed Rakan Al Rashidi, the Director General of Foreigners Affairs and Ports said that the new visa service will offer “offer flexibility, freedom of movement and also stability for families and enable them to achieve their aspirations and ambitions.”

He added that the interim visa holders will be issued an Emirates ID which will enable them to complete their procedures with ease.

They will be able to complete the licensing procedures, open bank accounts, register property, and make other transactions.
