During a press conference, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Fawad Chaudhry has revealed that an invitation has been sent to tech leaders around the globe for the upcoming Sci-tech conference, which will be held in October.
“We are sending invitations to Tesla owner Elon Musk, principal founder of Microsoft Corporation Bill Gates, and Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg to attend the conference in Pakistan,” Chaudhry said.
Fawad added that this is going to be the first time in Pakistan’s history that the Sci-Tech ministry has sent invites to the brains behind the world’s top tech companies for the forthcoming conference titled ‘Think Future’.
He said that the objective of organizing the conference is to showcase the potential of Pakistan to the world in the field of science and technology.
The conference will be held on 17th October, which is the birth anniversary of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, a leading Muslim educationist, writer and reformer from 19th century British India.
Chaudhry announced that those who want to showcase any of their innovations should get ready for this ‘great Science Fair’. The entries for the fair were opened on 1st July.
He said that entrants with an innovative business idea will get a 70 to 100 percent loan for the execution of their ideas.
