Recent reports on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4 suggest that the phone will be ready to launch in September, but only in China at first. With the release of the phone drawing near, a Chinese tipster has leaked key specifications on the upcoming Xiaomi flagship.
The leak appeared on the Chinese social media platform Weibo, and it is accompanied by an alleged image of the Xiaomi Mi Mix 4.
The leak doesn’t say anything about the display size, but it does say that it is going to have a 2k screen. Additionally, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 855+ chipset that includes a 2.96GHz octa-core processor. The processor will be accompanied by 12 gigs of RAM and 1TB of UFS 3.0 storage.
Backed up by a massive 4500 mAh power cell paired with 30W fast charging. There’s also support for wireless and reverse wireless charging.
At the back, there’s going to be a whopping 108MP primary lens coupled with a 16MP superwide lens and a 12MP periscope lens. The leak doesn’t say anything about the front camera.
The leak also mentions NFC support and previous leaks suggest that there’s also going to be 5G connectivity. Thankfully, the phone will retain the 3.5mm audio jack, it also continues the ceramic body trend of the Mix phones.
Of course, this is just a leak, and may or may not actually be true, so take this with a grain of salt. If the phone does release in China next month, the rest of the world will have to wait a bit longer for an official international release.
that’s some crazy amount of horsepower. i’m wondering what type of cooling they will be implementing in non-gamer looking phone.
Apple cant even compete with Xiaomi, competing with Huawei is far-fetched.
