Xiaomi has just launched the third-generation of its smart sports shoes featuring a one-piece knitted upper layer, fishbone arch locking system, durable central soles and a TPU shank for increased stability.
Xiaomi MIJIA Sports Shoes 3 are purposefully designed to improve the user’s running form. The outsole is developed to provide bounce-back that will improve the overall efficiency of the athlete’s gait.
These shoes are available in six colors, three for men and three for women. The shoes will go on sale later today and the prices will be announced at the same time.
Outsole
The outsole of this shoe is what differentiates it from basic trainers. It is constructed using the new and improved uni-molding 2.0 production process. The same but less advanced process was used in the construction of MIJIA Sports Shoes 2.
A total of 6 different layers were bonded together via the uni-molding process with every layer separated using a thin film of pressed polyurethane. Since Xiaomi has not used glue in the bonding process, the durability of the outsole has been increased considerably.
At the front, Xiaomi has incorporated a popcorn cloud midsole. This helps improve the rebound when it comes to activities that required the forefoot. The cushioning demands during various exercises are also met thanks to the free force midsole technology.
Fishbone System
The fishbone system has been a part of Xiaomi’s smart shoes from the beginning. However, this time, the system has been upgraded.
To support the contours of the foot, 10 fish bones are linked together using the TPU injection process to form a 360° locking system. This way, the foot is supported from all sides during workout/running/training.
Upper Layer
The one-piece knitted upper layer is constructed using three-dimensional seamless high-elastic knitting process. Since a single seamless was used, foreign body sensations are minimized.
The best part about this is that it’s extremely durable and washing machine safe. The laces on these shoes are reflective, making the contours visible at night.
