After two years, Xiaomi is bringing back the Mijia Night Light with more features.
Dubbed the Mijia Night Light 2, its biggest highlight is its magnetic structural design that can rotate to provide illumination in any direction once it is fixed onto a surface.
Mijia Night Light 2 has adjustable brightness settings making it ideal for use in your wardrobe, restroom, bedroom, corridor or a balcony.
Design-wise, it retains the minimalist appearance of the original Night Light. It is made from environment-friendly high strength ABS plastic, weighing in at only 100 grams.
This way it becomes extremely portable and compact as well as easy to handle. It can be attached or detached from any surface with minor force.
It comes with a built-in photosensitive human body dual sensor. It allows the light to automatically turn on once it detects movement within 120 degrees at a distance of 5-7 meters. It automatically turns off if it detects no movement for 15 seconds. You can turn it off manually as well.
It is powered by three AA batteries, lasting up to 365 days if used with low light settings.
The official price tag on the device is $6 and the crowdfunding price is $13 for three units.
Solista Solo Smart Cooker
Another smart device launched by Xiaomi is the Solista Solo Smart Cooker which helps make cooking easier for bachelors.
It is a smart combination of a pot, gas stove and a range hood with a power rating of 1600W. It has a precision temperature control system that keeps the temperature levels under smoke point. This helps keep your kitchen soot free.
It has a simple yet modern looking design with a transparent glass lid on top which doesn’t stick to the pot. The pot has a capacity of 3.5 liters and has a non-stick lining which makes it easy to clean after cooking.
The lid is equipped with a two-wing mixing shovel to ensure a uniform blend for your food. The cooker’s power cord can be detached so it can be carried around as a container.
Being a smart device, you can use its app to choose between several cooking styles and recipes based on your preferences.
The Solista Solo Smart Cooker is available for crowdfunding at $139 via Xiaomi’s Youpin platform.
