Xiaomi to Introduce iOS-Like Family Sharing With MIUI 11

Xiaomi has been adding new features to its upcoming MIUI 11 over the past few weeks. Following the Earthquake alert and Children’s Space features, Xiaomi is going to add iOS-like Family Sharing, which will be officially announced at an event 24th September 2019. The company is expected to unveil three of its most hyped devices i.e. Mi Mix Alpha, Mi 9 Pro 5G and Mi TV Pro 8K.

MIUI 11’s family sharing feature is almost identical to Apple’s, however, Xiaomi’s version can actually work with any Android device, which makes it a lot better. All you need is a single Xiaomi phone running MIUI 11, along with any other phones that need to use family sharing.

The feature is focused on sharing information between family members, emphasizing parental controls and safety. It will help you track the location of your family members and parents will be able to control the number of times their kids can use certain applications including WeChat. Xiaomi’s Family sharing feature will also let you monitor their screen time and application usage.

Apart from this, the feature will also allow users to apply anti-harassment filters and send emergency SOS, when needed.

We’ll hear more about MIUI 11 tomorrow at Xiaomi’s event.
