To facilitate the citizens, the Punjab government, in collaboration with a private company, has introduced a Home Delivery System for fruits and vegetables in Multan and Rawalpindi.
The launching ceremony for the initiative took place at Circuit House on Monday with Chairman Non-Ministerial Standing Committee on Government Assurances, Mian Aamir Dogar, Parliamentary Secretary, Nadeem Qureshi, and Deputy Commissioner Multan in attendance.

Using the system, the residents of the city can get fruits and vegetables delivered to their doorsteps without having to go through the hassle of visiting the market.
Mian Aamir Dogar hoped that the citizens will respond positively to the initiative as it is aimed at making life easier for them.
Earlier, the Islamabad administration had also launched a similar service for the residents of the city wherein they could order these items online at DC-approved rates.

so the government is trying to cut out private sector. Thousands of jobs will be lost, not to mention the potential of corruption in this. Govt should be ensuring that private sector is smoothly providing services to masses, rather than they though to jump in themselves and be the part of problem.
