Saudi Arabia Introduces Visa on Arrival for Pakistanis

Saudi Arabian government has announced visa on arrival facility for Pakistani passport holders.

The new multiple entry visa will be valid for one year and travelers can stay up to 90 days in the Middle Eastern state.

Travelers can avail the visa on arrival facility at any international airport in the Saudi Kingdom.

Although travelers with the new visa stamped on their passports will be allowed to perform Umrah, they will not be allowed by the government to perform Hajj.

In order to avail visa on arrival facility, first-time visitors are required to fly on Saudi-based airlines such as Saudi Airlines, Flynas, or Flydeal. After that, travelers can use any other airline to fly to Saudi Arabia.

Travelers will have to pay 440 Saudi Riyals through credit card for availing the visit visa as cash is not accepted.

An immigration officer at the King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah revealed that it only takes about 15 minutes to process a visa on arrival application if the traveler has a valid passport and credit card.

Besides, travelers with a valid US, UK or Schengen visa can also get visa on arrival.

      • A reservation agent at the Saudi Airlines in Dubai told a media outlet that the new visa service started last month. “Anyone who has a valid UK, US or Schengen visa can obtain visit visa to Saudi Arabia on arrival. However, visa is issued to only those applicants who have used their US, UK or Schengen visa for at least once. You will not be given visa on arrival if you have US, UK or Schegen visa stamped on your passport but have never used it,” she explained.

      • Please note that my information is now 3 months old and of pre COVID scenario. I am not sure if the same policies still hold (or not).
You can not get Saudi visa online. You can get it at one of the airports in Saudia. You have to purchase tickets with 6-12 hours stopover time in Saudia. When you reach there, you can get the visa on airport. Also note that having multiple entry US visa is not the only requirement. The US visa must be valid, and you must have traveled to US on the same visa.

As far as I know you can travel with any airline. You must have the return ticket and your stay in Saudia should be between 6 and 12 hours.
