Lahore SHOs Allegedly Use Highly Addictive Drugs: Report

Punjab Police authorities have decided to conduct dope tests of station house officers (SHOs) in Lahore following reports that many of them are involved in drug consumption.

The Capital City Police Office (CCPO) Lahore issued the directives after a report surfaced from the Special Branch, which identified that police officers have been using drugs in the city.

Some of them are consuming highly addictive drugs according to the report.

Instead of cracking down against the peddlers, these police officers are backing drug supply in the city after getting addicted to drugs.

Citing the report, CCPO decided to take dope tests of SHOs to have substantial evidence before taking stern action against the police officers.

A list of involved police officers was finalized and sent to the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) for prompt action.
