KP Assembly Passed More Laws Than Any Other Assembly in 2nd Parliamentary Year

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) assembly has fared better than other provincial assemblies in terms of passing legislation during the second year of its five year tenure.

According to the Pakistan Institute of Legislative Development and Transparency (PILDAT), the KP assembly approved 59 laws during the second parliamentary year.

With 41 laws. Punjab assembly passed the most laws during the second parliamentary year after KP followed by Sindh assembly which passed 24 laws in the same period.

Balochistan assembly approved only 8 legislations during the second year, as per PILDAT’s data issued on the occasion of the completion of the second parliamentary year.

With 89 total laws, KP assembly also leads the way when it comes to the most legislations passed during the two years of its five-year tenure

Punjab assembly approved the most legislations after KP with 59 laws passed during the two years followed by Sindh assembly which passed 36 laws during the same period.

Balochistan assembly approved only 19 laws during the two years of its five-year tenure.
