The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has denied the reports that Prime Minister Imran Khan is unhappy with Azhar Ali’s captaincy during England tour and wants him replaced as the Test captain.
Renowned sports journalist, Sajid Sadiq, said this in his tweet, quoting PCB.

The development came a day after it was reported on several news channels that a member of PCB’s Cricket Committee, Wasim Akram, had complained to the Prime Minister regarding Azhar Ali’s lack of leadership skills.

He allegedly blamed Azhar for Pakistan’s defeat against England at Manchester and urged the premier to recommend a new Test captain.
A number of former cricketers had criticized Azhar Ali for his defensive captaincy against England following the team’s defeat despite being in a winning position.
