Peshawar Zalmi is one of the most famous franchises in T20 cricket and is arguably the most famous in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Its owner, Javed Afridi, has put a lot of effort into turning the franchise into a global brand and has started many initiatives for Pakistani citizens.
Afridi has hinted at a new initiative that involves integrating the fans with the franchise, and took to social media to reveal Peshawar Zalmi’s next plan.
Zalmi Passion is what Drives us Daily. We are Exploring Different Avenues to see How Our Fans/Members can have Contractual Ownership Or Stock Listing of Zalmi like various Football Clubs❓

Fans are an integral aspect of any spectator sport and Peshawar Zalmi are looking to close the gap between its owners and fans. Famous football clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal, Juventus, and AS Roma are on the stock market and fans can invest by buying shares of their favorite club. Peshawar Zalmi is considering adopting this model to bring its fans closer to the franchise and to give them a sense of belonging.
Nothing has been finalized yet but the PSL franchises are working on building their brands, and the involvement of the fans is a sign of positive things to come. It remains to be seen if the other PSL franchises will follow Afridi’s initiative or if they will bring something new to the table.
