Rawalpindi and Multan were set to host PSL matches this time around as well, but PCB has decided against it to manage the tournament smoothly. It has been decided that all the matches will be played behind closed doors, keeping in view the situation of the pandemic.

Few of the franchises were unhappy with the scheduling of the previous edition of PSL. Quetta Gladiators were reportedly unhappy with their schedule because it involved a lot of traveling. The matches being played in two cities will help the PCB manage the tournament better, and the teams will be required to travel less.

The final of PSL 6 will be played on Sunday, March 21, 2021, at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore. All the dates are tentative and will be finalized keeping in view the COVID-19 situation in the country.
