Dr. Nauman Niaz Transferred Out From PTV Sports

Famous TV personality Dr. Nauman Niaz has been transferred from his post as the Director of Sports & Syndication, PTV Headquarters. He has now been posted as the Director Training Academy at PTV Academy, Islamabad.

Nauman Niaz was under a lot of pressure as the Director of Sports & Syndication as many sports fans took to social media numerous times to display their displeasure at his work.

Lt. Col (R) Hassan Immad Mohamedi has been appointed as the new Director of Sports & Syndication. He was previously posted as Director Special Assignments, PTV Academy.

Mr. Mohamedi has also previously served as the Managing Director (MD) of PTV. He was later removed from the post due to a typing error in Prime Minister Imran Khan’s speech during his trip to China.

The transfers were confirmed in a notification issued by Pakistan Television Corporation Limited.

Dr. Nauman Niaz has been the face of PTV Sports for several years, with his show ‘Game On Hai’ along with former cricketers, Shoaib Akhtar and Rashid Latif, being popular amongst the cricket fans in Pakistan. The show was brought to a halt recently as PTV decided to relieve Rashid Latif of his duties.

  • A very unfortunate decision. Dr. Nauman was running an excellent show. I think this type of irrational change will continue with a new Chairman appointed purely on his politicsl affiliation with the ruling party.
    I think the ptv sports channel will further go down with such sub standard administration.
    We go according to our personal likes n dislikes and least interested in national aspirations.
