Pakistan’s all-format captain, Babar Azam, will represent Kotli Panthers in the upcoming inaugural edition of the Kashmir Premier League. Azam was signed as an Icon player by the franchise, joining the veteran all-rounder, Mohammad Hafeez, who was signed as a marquee player.

Azam is one of the finest T20 batsmen in world cricket. He is currently number three in world rankings and is a highly sought-after player in the franchise leagues all over the world. Azam’s T20 record is exceptional, and he is also the highest run-scorer in Pakistan Super League (PSL) history.
According to the rumor mill, Azam will be named as captain of the Kotli Panthers where he will be looking to guide his side to the title in the first-ever Kashmir Premier League.
Top Pakistan stars such as Shahid Afridi, Mohammad Amir, Shoaib Malik, and Shaheen Shah Afridi are also set to take part in the tournament as they were announced by various franchises as their icon and marquee players.

The draft for the inaugural Kashmir Premier League is scheduled to take place on 2 April, and top players from around the world are expected to be a part of the tournament. The tournament is scheduled to be played between 12-27 May.
