15 million doses of Coronavirus vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca, and China will reach Pakistan this month.
According to National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA), more than 90% of the vaccines scheduled to arrive in the country in July have been purchased by the government.

So far, 4.5 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines have reached Pakistan this month. A shipment of 2.5 million doses of Moderna’s COVID-19 vaccine donated by the US President, Joe Biden, arrived in the country on Friday.
A batch of 2 million doses of Sinopharm’s vaccine reached the country on Sunday while a consignment of 2 million doses of Sinovac’s vaccine will arrive this week followed by another shipment before Eid-ul-Adha.
The raw material of PakVac, Pakistan’s first locally-packaged single-dose COVID-19 vaccine, will also reach the country from China in bulk this month to help the National Institute of Health (NIH) to produce 3 million doses each month.

Meanwhile, after reporting more than 1,000 cases of Coronavirus for the fifth straight day, Pakistan’s COVID-19 positivity rate has jumped to 3%. In the last 24 hours, the country reported 1347 cases and 19 deaths from Coronavirus.
Last week, Federal Planning Minister Asad Umar who also heads the NCOC warned that the country may witness a fourth wave of Coronavirus if the public stopped being cautious.
