These decisions have been made according to PCB’s policy of incentivizing and attracting new young players and creating a professional cricketing environment in the country.

PCB has also appointed new and upcoming coaches for all the inter-city teams, selected through a stringent recruitment process. All the coaches have qualified various coaching levels of PCB and are aligned according to the coaching philosophy of the National High Performance Center (NHPC).

According to details, the majority of the 93 coaches employed in the tournament are former first-class and international cricketers who have been integrated into the system by the PCB in order to provide them with employment opportunities. PCB is hopeful that these coaches will be able to move up the ladder and coach in the domestic circuit in the future along with helping the younger generation to hone their craft.
