Shoaib Akhtar, renowned for his candid remarks, questioned fans about his earlier statement, in which he had expressed doubts about Pakistan’s target being sufficient to restrict Afghanistan.

Former cricketer Yasir Hameed, in a disappointed tone, lamented that the match had slipped away from Pakistan’s grasp. Imad Wasim also shared on his social media handle that it was a heartbreaking defeat.

Reacting to Pakistan’s performance, former English cricketer Michael Vaughan pointed that probably Pakistani players had not listened to ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ because they lacked the energy and enthusiasm.

This significant victory by Afghanistan will undoubtedly be remembered as a turning point in the history of the ODI World Cup.
