A 20-year-old woman named Hamra drowned in a storm drain in Bahria Town Phase 6 earlier today. The incident occurred as she was commuting on her scooter to work.
Hamra, a resident of Ghauri Town, was caught in a strong water current while riding her scooter, which caused her to lose control. She fell into the storm drain and was swept into a nearby nullah.

Rescue 1122 teams quickly launched a search and rescue operation. Despite their efforts, Hamra’s body was eventually found and recovered, though her scooter is still missing. The search had been extended to the Swan River opening.
