PM Shehbaz Sharif Announces Free Visas for Chinese Nationals

On Thursday, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif revealed that the federal government has decided that starting August 14, Chinese citizens will be offered free visas.

At a meeting with a Chinese delegation led by Wang Fukang, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif disclosed that he had asked President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Qiang to send experts to Pakistan during his recent trip to China.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed confidence that the arrival of these experts would soon lead to significant progress. The 12-member Chinese delegation, headed by Wang Fukang, is visiting Pakistan to enhance cooperation.

The delegation will concentrate on Chinese investments, the second phase of CPEC, and boosting Pakistani exports. They will also assess and recommend improvements in IT, agriculture, industry, energy, minerals, special economic zones, and communications.

Wang Fukang, the delegation leader, noted that technical cooperation would strengthen the strategic ties between Pakistan and China. He also expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s hospitality.
