As September comes to an end, Infinix has launched a 4G version of the Hot 50, whose 5G model was announced at the start of the month. There are no differences in terms of design, but the 4G model swaps out a few specifications.
Design and Display
It has the same 6.78-inch IPS LCD panel as the 5G version, but the resolution has been dialed up from 720p to 1080p. The 120Hz refresh rate remains the same, but you now have higher 800 nits of peak brightness. Always-on display support is still there and the fingerprint resides on the side.
Internals and Software
Instead of the MediaTek Dimensity 6300, you now get the Dimensity 6100 chipset. The only difference here is the slightly lower clock speed on the Cortex A76 CPU. Even the Mali-G57 MC2 GPU remains the same. Memory options are 6 to 8 GB RAM with 128 GB/256 GB storage options with a memory card slot.
You get the same XOS 14.5 software skin on top of Android 14.
Cameras
The new 50MP sensor is smaller than the 5G counterpart but has a brighter f/1.6 lens. This is accompanied by the same 2MP depth shooter and video recording capabilities that go up to 2K 30 FPS and 1080p 60 FPS.
The selfie camera is an 8MP snapper.
Battery and Pricing
Battery specifications remain unchanged, including a 5,000 mAh cell with 18W wired charging, reverse wired charging, and bypass charging support.
The Infinix Hot 50 4G has a starting price of $165 and it can be colored in Sleek Black, Sage Green, and Titanium Gray.
