Xiaomi SU7 Shows Strong Sales and Targets Higher Production

Xiaomi announced a major milestone in its electric vehicle production, delivering over 10,000 SU7 vehicles in September, marking the fourth consecutive month the company has hit this figure. Although the exact delivery number wasn’t disclosed, the company confirmed surpassing the 10,000-unit mark.

Xiaomi originally aimed to deliver 100,000 SU7 models by the end of 2024, but it will exceed this target by late October or November, given its consistent production output.

In response to this progress, Xiaomi has updated its delivery goal to 120,000 SU7 units and anticipates delivering over 20,000 vehicles in October alone. This increase in production capacity is attributed to recent optimizations that have boosted efficiency.

Additionally, the company has plans to unveil another model—a new SU7 variant with an SUV design—further expanding its lineup and catering to the growing demand for electric vehicles (EVs).

Following the sighting of Xiaomi’s SU7 Max electric vehicle at Karachi Port, sources have confirmed that Airlink is preparing to launch an electric car in Pakistan. The base variant of the SU7 costs ¥215,900 (approximately Rs. 8.5 million), positioning it within the luxury vehicle segment in Pakistan.

However, due to the limited local market for high-end EVs, Airlink may focus on exporting the vehicle to right-hand drive markets globally, replicating the strategies of companies like Changan and Master Motors.

Xiaomi SU7 has been competing against industry giants such as BYD and Tesla in China and is expected to debut in Pakistan soon. This development marks a significant step for Airlink as it diversifies its business beyond mobile phones into the fast-growing EV sector.
