Pakistan’s thumping win against Australia in the second ODI not only helped them level the series at 1-1 but also helped them become the most successful Asian ODI team against the Aussies in their backyard.
The two arch-rivals were tied at 40 wins apiece before Pakistan’s triumph at Adelaide surged them ahead.
Pakistan got to the mark in 110 games while India holds the 40-win mark from 99 games. 18 of Pakistan’s ODI wins against Aussies have come in the bilateral series while the rest of their triumphs have been during ICC-sanctioned competitions.
West Indies remain the most successful team overall having won a staggering 75 ODIs on Australian soil followed by England in second.

Saim Ayub and Haris Rauf shone for Pakistan in Adelaide as Pakistan romped past the hosts in the second ODI. Rauf’s five-fer helped Pakistan restrict the opposition to 163 before Saim’s 82 eased the Green Shirts home.Â
They not only made Pakistan the most successful Asian ODI side against Australia Down Under but also gave Pakistan its first win in Adelaide in 28 years. The deciding match will take place on Sunday.
