Pakistan will take on Australia in the 2nd T20I tomorrow, needing to a win to keep the three match series alive at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

The visitors had no answer to the Aussies in the opening fixture as Glenn Maxwell’s onslaught with the bat helped the hosts ease to a 29-run win in the 7-over contest in Brisbane. With a 1-0 deficit, Mohammad Rizwan’s men have no margin for error as they look to keep the series alive against the confident hosts.

Both teams are expected to take the field with the same line-up as they did in the first game, with the rain-curtailed contest offering little clarity on the best possible combinations for each team. Sydney last hosted an international T20 game back in November 2022 with Pakistan triumphing over New Zealand which should bode well for their chances in the game.

The wicket is again expected to offer something to the bowlers, like all Australian wickets, but the Maxwell’s of the world are expected to get their fair share of scoring opportunities.
