The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, has extended his heartfelt congratulations to the Pakistan Blind Cricket Team for their monumental victory in the T20 World Cup 2024.
The team secured their first-ever WBCC Blind Cricket T20 World Cup title with a commanding ten-wicket win over Bangladesh in the final held in Multan on Tuesday.
Expressing immense pride in the team’s accomplishment, Mohsin Naqvi commended the players for their outstanding performance and acknowledged their dedication and perseverance that led to this historic moment.
“The players of the Blind Cricket Team delivered an exceptional performance, earning the prestigious title of T20 World Champions,” Naqvi stated. He also extended his congratulations to the management team, recognizing their pivotal role in strategizing and guiding the players to success.
“I want to commend the management for their efforts. The players displayed remarkable dedication and teamwork throughout the tournament,” Mohsin Naqvi added.
The final was a thrilling contest, with Bangladesh setting a modest target of 139 runs after losing seven wickets. On Pakistan’s bowling front, Babar Ali led the charge, claiming three crucial wickets, while Motiullah and Mohammad Salman each took one wicket.
In response, Pakistan’s opening duo of Nisar Ali and Mohammad Safdar displayed sheer dominance, chasing down the target in just 11 overs without losing a wicket.
