After successful negotiations with the police, the Bhasha Dam protestors have reopened the Karakoram Highway for traffic.
SP Diamer Sher Khan held talks with the protestors, and following the successful discussions, the demonstrators agreed to open the highway for vehicles. However, they announced that their sit-in along the highway would continue for now.
They warn that if their demands are not met, they will once again block the Karakoram Highway. The protestors are demanding the payment of land compensation for the Bhasha Dam project and the implementation of the employment quota.
It is important to note that the Missing Chulha Committee has been staging a sit-in on the Karakoram Highway since noon yesterday. The closure of the highway caused long vehicle queues at Bab-e-Chilas and Zero Point, resulting in severe difficulties for travelers.

We have to stop this madness of blocking highways. It’s not democracy it’s blackmail. This cost economy trillions. Can any lawyer bring this to courts to force government to do legislation?
